Virtual Regional Day 2021

This event runs from 10:00am on the 6th March 2021, to 12:00am on the 30th November -0001 and will take place at Your home. It is a Guild event being organised by Region 16 Coordinator, .

We are still not in a position to meet in person so we will hold a virtual Regional Day. We will have some of the usual features but without the need to drive the length of Scotland! I know I’d rather be there too but I’m trying to be positive ????

Speaker: - Moira Neal - Tuscany in Photos

Moira will talk about how the images from a painting and photography holiday in Tuscany in 2016 inspired a collection of appliquéd and free machine stitched pieces of work. Showing how pictures be used to inspire your own designs and colour palette and showing the process used to create quite a number of colourful A3 landscapes and some, simply stitched with black thread onto a white background and painted later. Hopefully this talk will inspire people to use their own holiday pictures to inspire their own designs.

Lunchtime A chance to meet others in small relaxed groups to catch up on everything you’ve done since the last regional day.

Exhibition This is over to you. We will have a slide show of quilts. We’d like you to send a good quality photo of something you’ve completed in 2020. If you are happy to talk about it please say when sending the photo.

Photos can be emailed to Judi O’ May at judiomay@btinternet.com

Raffle prizes to be won, and no running up and down the stairs ????
